CNA/HHA

As a CNA/HHA at Assisting Hands Home Care, you will be responsible for providing daily living assistance and specialized care to our clients in the home setting. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our dedicated team to ensure the highest level of comfort and care for our clients, particularly Veterans and seniors in our community. This position is on-site only, allowing you the flexibility to create a schedule that works best for you while fulfilling your passion for caring for others.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and medication reminders.
2. Provide specialized care for clients recovering from surgery or managing chronic conditions.
3. Engage in meaningful interactions to enhance the client’s quality of life.
4. Support family members by providing updates and communicating any changes in the client's condition.
5. Participate in ongoing training and caregiver recognition programs to enhance your skills and qualifications.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Current CNA or HHA certification in Ohio.
2. Compassionate and caring nature with a desire to work with seniors and Veterans.
3. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
4. Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
5. Willingness to undergo background checks and comply with health documentation requirements.

Bonus If You:

1. Have experience working with clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
2. Are familiar with VA benefits and navigating care services for Veterans.
3. Hold additional certifications in CPR or First Aid.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Full-Time and available Monday through Friday.

Location:

This position is on-site only, located in Independence, Ohio.
