• Salary Range: $125,000-$185,000 per year (Based on years of experience) + Benefits

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced, compassionate, and results-driven Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our nursing department and ensure the highest standards of resident care within our Skilled Nursing Facility.

The Director of Nursing is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating nursing services while fostering a culture of clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, teamwork, employee engagement, and resident-centered care .

The ideal candidate is an experienced nursing leader with a strong background in skilled nursing, staff development, clinical operations, and regulatory compliance.

-> Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development, organization, and operation of nursing and supportive services for the Health Care Center and residential apartments.
• Coordinate nursing services for Health Center and apartment residents, including arranging outside services such as Home Health, private duty nursing, hospice, rehabilitation, psychological services, and other resources as needed.
• Communicate and collaborate with outside consultants to assess resident care needs and implement appropriate recommendations.
• Coordinate and direct comprehensive planning for nursing services, including staffing plans and recommendations regarding the number and levels of licensed nurses and certified nursing assistants required.
• Develop and maintain an effective restorative care program in collaboration with therapy providers.
• Recruit, select, train, evaluate, and discipline nursing services personnel in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
• Develop and maintain daily nursing rounds and staff assignments to ensure adequate 24-hour coverage and compliance with federal and state requirements.
• Develop and participate in new employee orientation programs for nursing staff, including private-duty and agency personnel.
• Oversee completion of written orientation documentation and annual performance evaluations for nursing staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes, quality of care, and resident satisfaction.
• Promote a positive workplace culture focused on employee engagement, teamwork, accountability, and resident-centered care.
• Monitor nursing operations and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and facility standards.
• Support survey readiness, quality assurance initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.

-> Qualifications

• BSN preferred; advanced degree a plus.
• Current, active California RN license in good standing .
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) .
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility required .
• Strong leadership, team-building, coaching, and staff development skills.
• Excellent clinical assessment, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated experience with survey readiness, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to effectively manage nursing operations, staffing, budgets, and resident care services.
• Strong commitment to resident dignity, quality of life, and compassionate senior care.
• Ability to build productive relationships with residents, families, employees, physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
