Skills Automotive Service Management Team Leadership Client Experience Management Staff Training Sales Objectives Production Management Warranty Compliance Payroll Administration Performance Evaluation Operational Planning Automotive Repair Technical Staffing Client Advocacy Financial Management Responsibilities The Service Manager directs and coordinates automotive repair activities to maximize profitability and ensure an elevated client experience. The role includes: Managing technical teams and overseeing repair order flow. Ensuring compliance with factory‑dealership policies and warranty procedures. Training service members in required skills and conducting performance evaluations. Setting sales, production, and gross objectives in collaboration with the Service Director. Staffing technical teams to meet production requirements and ensuring technician expertise. Maintaining the Service Department within financial parameters set by management. Administering payroll for service members with approval from the Service Director and the General Manager. Participating in operational planning and coordinating automotive repair and maintenance services for maximum utilization of resources. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience: One to three months of related experience or training, or equivalent experience. Certificates and Licenses: Operator's Driver's License (must be insurable). Physical Demands Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
