Overview
Registered Nurse – Adolescent Behavioral Health Inpatient, Rochester, NY. Start date 08/17/2026 for a 17-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $1,677–$1,737. 12-hour shifts. Inpatient pediatric/adolescent behavioral health unit focused on stabilization and therapeutic care for ages 5–18 experiencing acute mental health crises. This assignment is a temporary travel role with a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor pediatric/adolescent patients (ages 5–18) in acute mental health crisis, part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized nursing care plans; administer medications per physician orders, including psychopharmacology as indicated.
- Maintain patient safety, perform ongoing risk assessments, de-escalate crises, and respond to clinical changes promptly.
- Conduct routine head-to-toe assessments, document accurately, and communicate changes to the care team; participate in daily rounds and handoffs.
- Support therapeutic interventions such as Activities Therapy, Mindfulness, Wellness, and Coping Skills groups; collaborate on progress toward patient goals.
- Provide family education, discharge planning input, and continuation recommendations in coordination with the care team; ensure compliance with regulatory and documentation standards.

Requirements
- Active New York State RN license (Required)
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric mental health experience (Required)
- CPI blue card (Preferred)
- Telemetry: helpful but not required
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts with D/E/N rotation, including weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed by unit
