Assistant Service ManagerThe role of the Assistant Service Manager is integral to the overall objective of providing quality services and ensuring the reliability of HVAC Service Department operations. The Assistant Service Manager is required to perform oversight of the Service operations, preventative maintenance, and repair functions of mechanical systems in offices, hotels, government buildings, and other facilities. This position will assist in directing labor, supervision, tools, supplies, materials, equipment, and other items as required to successfully meet the obligations of our contracts. We work on a variety of residential and commercial HVAC equipment to include: CRAC units, RTUs, FCUs, split systems, chillers, cooling towers, boilers, gas and oil-fired AHUs, VAV systems, chilled/hot water systems, condenser water systems, and hi/low pressure steam systems.Responsibilities include:Assist in diagnosing HVAC equipment and system problemsEstimate repairs and installations of HVAC equipment listed aboveDraft and provide proposals to customersOrder materials and equipment as required for completing repairs and installations of HVAC equipmentAssist with scheduling of field technicians to complete installations and repairsInterface with building personnel and other customer representatives to ensure client satisfaction. Maintain positive working relationships with vendors and subcontractors, providing direction and support when neededReview completed projects to identify opportunities for future improvementReview technician reports to ensure that preventative maintenance obligations are being fully performedPerform other related duties as assignedHours: 7am to 4pm, Monday-FridaySalary: $85,000 - $100,000Qualifications include:High School diploma or equivalentMinimum of ten (10) years of related experience with Commercial HVAC systemsMaster or Journeyman license preferredKnowledge, skills, and abilities include:Ability to use initiative and judgment arranging job details to achieve objectivesComputer literacy including strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet research, and other software applicationsHeavy emphasis on organizational skills and written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work under pressureWillingness to take calls and address issues after hours and weekends (as needed)Strong initiative to solve problems and find solutionsDemonstrated ability to multi-task and be detail-orientedMust be a team player and self-starterAbility to complete tasks in timely fashionPhysical and mental job requirements include:Valid driver's licenseAbility to lift to sixty (60) poundsCapable of climbing ladders up to a height of thirty (30) feetTypical office conditionsHigh-level of professional conduct both internally and externally with co-workers, clients, vendors, and subcontractorsEOE, including disability/veterans
