Details Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting 13-week assignment on night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 6-week schedule Full-time position Requirements Active RN license in TX or compact Current certification in AWHONN Intermediate FHM or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM) required Current BLS certification required (AHA only) Current NRP certification required Current ACLS certification required (AHA only) 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing preferred BSN preferred Perinatal RN Residency or recent Perinatal Setting experience preferred Additional Information Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families Complete New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire Complete organizational and Perinatal Services-specific competency validations Previous CHRISTUS Health System employees must have a 6-month separation before starting a new travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-743913.
