CNC Machinist Chatsworth,CA, US 6923396 3 days ago Job Description Experience: Mid Level Salary: $30 - $50 per hour Job Details We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, utilizing state-of-the art machinery and technology. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated, detail-oriented individual with a strong background in CNC machining, tool and die, and 5 Axis operations. This role is instrumental in the production of our high-quality products and will play a significant part in our continued growth and success. Responsibilities 1. Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and understanding the project requirements. 2. Setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, etc. 3. Translating instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function. 4. Using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools to inspect and measure parts to ensure they meet specified tolerances. 5. Using Mastercam software to program, set up, and operate 5 Axis CNC machines. 6. Performing tool and die operations, including stamping and tooling processes. 7. Utilizing G Code programming language to control all the machine features. 8. Conducting quality control checks by using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) to ensure products meet design specifications. 9. Performing routine machine maintenance and repair minor damages. 10. Collaborating with the engineering team to troubleshoot problems and improve machining processes. Qualifications 1. 5+ years of experience as a CNC Machinist in the engineering industry. 2. Proficiency in operating CNC machinery and tooling, including 5 Axis operations. 3. Extensive knowledge of reading blueprints and schematics. 4. Proficiency in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools. 5. Strong experience with G Code and Mastercam software. 6. Experience in tool and die operations, including stamping and tooling. 7. Familiarity with TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding process. 8. Proficiency in using CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for quality control checks. 9. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 10. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. 11. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. 12. A high school diploma or equivalent.
