The Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program is intended to encourage individuals to enter and continue to work full-time in public service jobs. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program loans after you have made 120 qualifying payments on those loans while employed full-time by certain public service employers. Sheriff's Department Disqualifier Description: This position completes billing and statistical data entry for Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance; interviews patients, documents and verifies financial eligibility; processes claims for submission, prepares correspondence, collects fees, and handles additional related duties. Requirements: Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation-from high school and demonstrated possession of knowledge, skills and abilities gained through at least two years of office assistant/secretarial experience. Preferences : Computer data entry experience, medical insurance billing and coding experience, and the ability to communicate well with the public and work cooperatively with patients and staff. All health department employees (with the exception of individuals with an accommodation or medical exemption) are required to get an annual flu shot vaccine as part of condition of employment. Compensation: The hiring range for this position is $32,017- $35,807. Halifax County provides a comprehensive employee benefits package, including membership in the N.C.
