Financial Accountant

About the Role We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on, and proactive Financial Manager to lead our North American financial operations based in Los Angeles. This role is pivotal in managing day-to-day accounting, financial control, US tax compliance, and local audit coordination, while serving as a key operational liaison for local business partners and cross-border teams. Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting Manage full-cycle accounting operations for North American entities, including AR/AP, GL, payroll, fixed assets, and month-end/year-end closing. Prepare accurate financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) in accordance with US GAAP. Maintain cash flow management and treasury operations for local bank accounts. 2. Tax Compliance & Audit Management Oversee federal, state, and local tax filings (including CA state sales tax, corporate income tax, and local franchise taxes) in collaboration with external CPA firms. Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits, accounting firms, and government agencies. Ensure strict adherence to US accounting standards, tax laws, and local business regulations. 3. Business & BD Support Provide financial insights and support for local business deals, contract reviews, and vendor negotiations. Coordinate occasionally with local business partners, banks, logistics vendors, and service providers to support regional operations. Facilitate seamless financial communication between local US operations and HQ leadership. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification is highly preferred. Work Experience: 3-5+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience in the US, preferably with exposure to cross-border or multinational business operations. Tax & Compliance Knowledge: In-depth understanding of US GAAP, federal/CA state tax compliance, and local financial regulations. Languages: Bilingual fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken) is essential to liaise effectively with external US partners and internal cross-border teams.
