Distribution Operator

General responsibilities include timely delivery of material and products to increase efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.

Specific duties include:

• Loading and unloading of goods and supplies, always ensuring proper handling.
• Ensuring the neatness and proper stocking of inventory in assigned locations.
• Proper picking, packing, and preparing of accessory orders for shipment.
• Preparing appropriate documentation for outbound shipments.
• Operating all types of forklifts in compliance with all company safety regulations.
• Operating the Shipping Management system and loading small parcel carrier trucks.
• Performing cycle counting of inventory.
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Pre-determined qualifications include:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred but not required.
• A minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
• Excellent attendance is required.
• Previous experience with pallet jackets, tape dispensers, utility knives is a plus.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment with co-workers.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Possess basic math skills with ability to add, subtract, divide, and multiply.
• Light computer/data entry experience.

Physical requirements include:

• Requires frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
• Visual and hearing acuity.
• Requires ability to frequently lift 35 lbs or less unassisted; occasionally lift 36 – 70 lbs with assistance, if needed; lifting greater than 70 lbs requires assistance.
• Warehouse environment with exposure to dust.
