You will be required to work collaboratively in a safe, caring and respectful way. Position An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Podiatrist based at Treeswoodhead Road Clinic. This post is offered on a permanent basis. Hours 36 hours per week. From 1 April 2026, the working week for NHS Agenda for Change staff in Scotland will be reduced. Full-time hours will reduce from 37 to 36 hours (pro rata for part-time staff) without loss of earnings. UK Driving Licence is essential for this role. What You Will Do The post holder will work through an induction programme with a planned programme of development, to enable the post holder to work both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. In partnership with patients and their family/carers, the post holder will provide a person centred, holistic approach to care for those with long term, complex conditions where we aim to promote, provide and support foot health, maximise mobility and improve quality of life. You will develop the skills to appropriately delegate and supervise the care of patients to Podiatry Assistants and Carers as appropriate. You will provide supported direct clinical care which encompasses assessment, treatment and management of patients, including risk management of diabetic foot pathologies, wound management, and falls prevention with risk assessments undertaken. The post holder will undertake supervised support in Minor Surgical procedures (nail surgery), and after a period of supervision will have the opportunity to deliver nail surgery clinics independently. You will also be required to work alongside, supervise and support Podiatry Assistants, Healthcare Assistant and support student placements. The post holder will be based within East HSCP. Knowledge, Training And/or Experience Required For This Post You will have HCPC registration and possess a B.Sc. in Podiatric Medicine or equivalent. Applicants should be capable of working autonomously and providing high quality patient care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required as is the ability to work flexibly and respond to the changing needs of the service. IT skills are essential The service provides excellent CPD support and offers the opportunity to work within a progressive service that delivers care through a structured podiatry service. Car owner/driver essential.
