Broad Function The Calibration Technician is responsible for calibrating products and documenting the associated calibration records. Primary Responsibilities Operate from written instructions to follow a detailed sequence of tasks without deviation, calibrating and testing both newly manufactured instruments and instruments returned for service. Accurately record and maintain calibration results and other pertinent information for each instrument undergoing calibration adjustment and final testing. Ensure equipment utilized during calibration and testing is calibrated and in working order. Identify trends and make recommendations to production and service personnel, providing suggestions for changes to procedures and documentation. Report issues to Engineering with the instrument software identified during calibration and testing. Help ensure the technical requirements of the ISO 17025 standard and of the calibration laboratory quality management system are met, and participate in internal and external audits as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High degree of motivation and sense of responsibility, with demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of company employees. Position requires frequent standing, bending, stooping, sitting, and reaching motions. Basic to advanced computer skills, especially MS Word and Excel.
