HR Manager

A leading headwear manufacturer and wholesale distributor with a global footprint is seeking an experienced HR Manager for its California operation in Brea. This role owns HR strategy, compliance, and employee relations, partnering with leadership to build a positive workplace culture while ensuring full compliance with California and federal labor law. Responsibilities Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs aligned with company goals and California employment law Advise leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and organizational development Manage full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations and conflict resolution, and drive engagement and recognition programs Ensure compliance with California labor laws (wage and hour, leaves of absence, Cal/OSHA) and maintain accurate records for audits Administer benefits programs and partner with finance on payroll and competitive compensation Design training and development programs supporting growth, leadership, and compliance Oversee the performance review process and workplace health and safety initiatives Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, BusinessAdministration, or a related field 5-7 years of HR experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role Thorough knowledge of California labor laws and regulations Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Paychex, BambooHR, ADP, or Workday) Professional English proficiency, written and verbal;Korean language ability a plus Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proven discretion handling confidential information Preferred Qualifications HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) Benefits Competitive salary with annual bonus Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance 401(k) with safe harbor Paid vacation and sick days Inclusive, collaborative environment with room for professional growth #J-18808-Ljbffr Harmonious Hiring LLC
