Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work onsite at our hospital facility, collaborating closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals in a dynamic team-oriented environment. Our urgent care setting is fast-paced, operating Monday through Friday, with shifts starting at 5:00 pm. As a member of our team, you will have access to modern medical technology, diagnostic equipment, and a supportive work culture focused on improving patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed patient examinations and thoroughly review medical histories to assess health conditions.
• Order and interpret various diagnostic tests, including blood work and imaging studies, to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose a broad range of acute illnesses and conditions, providing timely and effective treatment measures.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans for patients with chronic diseases, ensuring continuous monitoring and adjustments as necessary.
• Prescribe medications, supervise treatment protocols, and evaluate their effectiveness to ensure patient safety and well-being.
• Maintain organized and precise patient records and schedules, utilizing electronic health record systems for documentation and reporting.
• Educate patients and their families on health issues, preventive care strategies, and lifestyle modifications to promote wellness.
• Foster an environment of open communication and trust with patients, ensuring their questions and concerns are addressed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay updated with the latest medical practices and participate in relevant healthcare research.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) with a DEA number.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience as a Physician Assistant in an urgent care, emergency, or hospital setting.
• Strong foundation in primary care and acute care practices with a comprehensive understanding of patient care regulations.

Compensation and Benefits
