This role is primarily based onsite at our surgical center, which houses advanced diagnostic and treatment equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, including thorough physical examinations and detailed medical history reviews.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests such as blood tests and imaging studies to determine appropriate treatment pathways.
• Diagnose a variety of acute health issues and develop timely treatment plans that may include immediate interventions.
• Establish and implement long-term management plans for chronic conditions, ensuring continuity of care and regular follow-ups.
• Prescribe medications and perform ongoing assessments to monitor treatment effectiveness and patient progress.
• Document patient interactions accurately in electronic health records, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment options, and preventive practices to promote overall health literacy.
• Advocate for best health practices within the patient community.
• Engage in continuous professional growth through relevant training sessions and workshops.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily serve patients presenting with urgent healthcare needs, including minor injuries and acute illness, making it essential to have skills particularly suited for a wide age range from pediatrics to geriatrics. You will be engaging with diverse patient backgrounds, identifying their unique healthcare needs, and tailoring your approach to meet those effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Physician Assistant state licensure and a successful completion of a national certifying exam.
• Demonstrated competency via clinical rotations or professional experience within an urgent care, emergency room, or primary care setting.
• Thorough understanding of health regulations and best practices in patient care.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and patients alike.
• Strong ethical standards and dedication to providing patient-centered care.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Exceptional patience and level-headedness when addressing medical emergencies.
• A valid DEA registration is required to prescribe medications.

Preferred Experience

• Hands-on experience in urgent care or emergency settings.
• Proficiency in using electronic health records and familiarity with telehealth systems.
• Experience in managing a diverse patient population, including children and the elderly.
• Multilingual abilities are advantageous, although not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits
