Work Environment

This position is located onsite at our well-established surgical center in Hyattsville, Maryland. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient examinations to assess acute and chronic conditions.
• Review and analyze medical histories and current health records to establish comprehensive treatment plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and imaging studies such as X-rays, to facilitate accurate diagnoses.
• Diagnose and treat a wide array of urgent medical conditions, making critical decisions to manage patient care.
• Prescribe and monitor the effectiveness of medications, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
• Educate patients and their families about various health conditions, preventive measures, and treatment options to empower them in their health management.
• Maintain precise and organized medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle practices in patients and advocate for preventative health measures.
• Participate in continuous professional development by staying updated on the latest clinical practices and participating in training and research.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Physician Assistant license (PA-C) and have a DEA number.

• Excellent understanding of healthcare regulations, clinical practices, and patient care standards.
