The Horizon Wellness Clinic is actively seeking dedicated full-time Nurse Practitioners to enhance our high-quality Urgent Care practice located in Greenbelt, Maryland. In this role, you will diagnose and treat a diverse range of health conditions while actively promoting wellness and preventive health practices. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will ensure optimal patient care through comprehensive assessment and management strategies.

Located in the heart of Greenbelt, our clinic specializes in urgent care and leverages a patient-centered approach to meet the healthcare needs of our community. Our facility is staffed with an engaging team of healthcare professionals, including five physicians and five nurse practitioners, creating a collaborative environment where integrated care thrives.

Work Environment

This full-time position requires a commitment of 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday, with a standard shift ending at 5:00 PM. As an onsite practitioner, you will work closely with interdisciplinary teams in an outpatient office setting designed for comprehensive medical assessments and treatments. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations to assess patient health status and medical histories.
• Order relevant diagnostic tests such as blood tests and imaging to facilitate accurate diagnosis.
• Diagnose a variety of health conditions, including both acute and chronic illnesses.
• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients suffering from infectious diseases and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and monitor their effectiveness while maintaining detailed patient records.
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.
• Oversee overall patient health, ensuring follow-up appointments and continuity of care.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes and clinic operations.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be serving a diverse patient population in the Greenbelt area, addressing a wide range of health concerns from minor injuries and acute illnesses to chronic disease management. Your work will involve interacting with patients of all ages, and you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on their health and well-being through your advanced practice nursing skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid state Nurse Practitioner license.
• A Master’s degree in Nursing, with an emphasis on nurse practitioner studies.
• ANP/FNP certification required; a DEA number is necessary for prescribing.
• Strong foundational knowledge of health regulations and best practices in patient care.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients and team members.
• Ethics-driven with a commitment to delivering compassionate care.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in urgent care or emergency department settings is highly desirable.
• Previous clinical experience managing acute and chronic health conditions.
• Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of care.
• Bilingual candidates, particularly those fluent in Spanish, are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 130,000 annually, based on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package. Benefits include:
