Work Environment

As a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, you will work directly in patients' homes and at wellness events, making a significant impact in their lives. This role is designed for nurses who possess strong clinical acumen and a passion for providing tailored care in a concierge model. Your schedule will typically be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with flexibility for certain evenings and occasional weekend events, culminating in approximately 40 hours of work per week. The onsite nature of your responsibilities means you will thrive in a hands-on care environment, fostering deeper connections with patients.

Key Responsibilities

As an Advanced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting in-depth cardiovascular assessments for patients, which may include physical exams, taking medical histories, and performing diagnostic tests.
• Developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive treatment plans for patients with both acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
• Advocating for preventive health measures, educating patients and families about lifestyle modifications that support heart health.
• Collaborating with fellow healthcare professionals, including cardiologists and primary care providers, to ensure continuity of care and comprehensive treatment.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Participating in community outreach and health events, offering screenings and educational sessions to promote heart health awareness.
• Utilizing EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems to streamline patient information management and appointment scheduling effectively.
• Staying abreast of the latest research and best practices in cardiovascular nursing to continually enhance patient care strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on adult patients experiencing various cardiovascular conditions, from hypertension to heart disease. You will play a vital role in treating individuals in diverse socioeconomic backgrounds, many of whom have limited access to traditional healthcare settings. Your approach will include addressing cultural sensitivity and ensuring that all patients feel respected and engaged in their care.

Qualifications

To qualify for the position, candidates must possess:

• A valid Nurse Practitioner certification and a state nursing license in Maryland.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, with preferred advanced education such as a Master’s Degree or Doctorate in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• At least three years of clinical experience, ideally with a focus on cardiology or in community health settings.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, additional qualifications that are highly desirable include experience in concierge medicine, familiarity with community health initiatives, and expertise in health education. Experience with electronic health record systems and telehealth services will also be beneficial in this position.

Compensation and Benefits

Farm Workers Comfort Cove Hospital offers a competitive salary within the range of USD 110,000 – 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a favorable salary structure:
