Work Environment

The role of Nurse Practitioner will be primarily onsite, providing an opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients in a friendly and supportive work environment. Our clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, promoting a healthy work-life balance for our staff. Key Responsibilities

As an Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments of patients by collecting detailed medical histories and performing physical examinations.
• Diagnosing and treating a wide range of acute and chronic health issues while under the supervision of attending physicians.
• Formulating and implementing individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and recommending diagnostic tests in accordance with established protocols.
• Educating patients and their families about preventive care, management of chronic health conditions, and the importance of adhering to treatment plans.
• Staying informed about current best practices and integrating evidence-based approaches to enhance patient outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a graduate degree in a Nurse Practitioner program from an accredited university.
• Active licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) in the state of Maryland.
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from an approved certifying organization.
• Preference will be given to candidates who do not hold Acute Care Certification, as this position is focused on primary care aspects of internal medicine.

Preferred Experience

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess a minimum of two years of relevant experience as a Nurse Practitioner, ideally within an internal medicine or primary care setting. Experience in concierge medicine or house call services is a plus, as is familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
