The Maine Healthcare Clinic is in search of a dedicated Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our team in Laurel, Maryland. This full-time position offers a stable work schedule of Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing an excellent work-life balance while ensuring our patients receive top-notch care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations, develop treatment plans, and provide follow-up care under the supervision of physicians, ensuring compliance with established clinical guidelines.
• Evaluate patient health through a comprehensive assessment process, identifying disease prevention and health promotion opportunities tailored to our varied patient demographics.
• Manage a range of acute and chronic health issues, using evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes and offering referrals as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, treatment options, and preventative strategies to promote informed health decisions.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to discuss complex patient cases and enhance treatment plans through collaborative insights.
• Document all clinical interactions and maintain accurate patient records to ensure continuity and quality of care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position requires a compassionate approach to patient care, focusing on adults with diverse health needs. You will interact with patients from various backgrounds, requiring cultural competency and effective communication skills to address their unique concerns. Our patient mix includes those with chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and respiratory issues, requiring you to apply your clinical expertise in managing complex cases.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• A valid and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the State of Maryland or eligibility for licensure.
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from a recognized certifying organization is required.
• Please note: Candidates acute care certified will not be considered for this position.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an outpatient setting, particularly in internal medicine, is preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability in managing chronic diseases and implementing patient education strategies.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and care planning.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, ranging from USD 100,000 to 130,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package including:
