Work Environment

As a Nurse Practitioner in our outpatient office, you will operate in a bustling medical clinic setting that emphasizes team collaboration and patient-centered care. The workweek is structured from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a stable work schedule to promote a healthy work-life balance. You will have direct access to support and resources necessary for effectively addressing a broad range of patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans for a diverse patient population, focusing on both acute and chronic conditions.
• Engage in meaningful consultations with patients, educating them about preventive care strategies, treatment options, and necessary lifestyle adjustments for enhanced health outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to develop comprehensive care plans that adhere to best practices in Internal Medicine.
• Document all patient interactions and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR) to ensure continuity of care and adherence to regulatory standards.
• Participate in the development of health promotion and disease prevention activities aimed at improving community health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily serve an adult patient demographic, addressing a wide range of health issues tailored to the needs of our diverse community. Your work will focus on empowering patients through education, improving chronic disease management, and promoting preventative measures to enhance overall health.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited nursing program.
• Licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) in the state of Maryland, with national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from an approved certifying organization.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience required in a similar setting.
• Acute Care certified Nurse Practitioners will not be considered for this position.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with prior experience in internal medicine settings are highly preferred. Proficiency in electronic health record systems, coupled with strong communication skills, will be viewed favorably.

Compensation and Benefits
