Work Environment

The role of Nurse Practitioner at Bellin Health Care Center is based onsite within a state-of-the-art hospital facility situated in the vibrant community of Columbia, Maryland. Our hospital is equipped with advanced medical technologies and resources, creating an ideal setting for providing comprehensive healthcare services. The Nurse Practitioner will work Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, ensuring a balanced work-life schedule while delivering quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to provide accurate diagnosis and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Administer age-appropriate medical care, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and performing procedures as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families concerning health maintenance, disease prevention, and effective management of existing conditions.
• Work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals in a team-oriented environment to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
• Stay current on medical knowledge and practices, attending continuing education sessions and professional development workshops.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population with a range of acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues. The focus will be on providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to adult patients with varying health backgrounds, fostering long-term health and wellness through preventative care and health education.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution is required.
• You must hold a current Nurse Practitioner license or be eligible for licensing in the State of Maryland.
• Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) by an approved certifying organization is mandatory.
• Acute Care Nurse Practitioners will not be considered for this role.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in internal medicine or similar settings is preferred, providing you with a solid foundation to deliver quality patient care effectively.
• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems is advantageous for efficient patient management and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative team approach.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 – 130,000 per year, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:
