Work Environment

This full-time position is onsite at our Assisted Living Facility in Silver Spring, Maryland. You will be part of a dedicated team of healthcare professionals where your insights and contributions to patient care are highly valued. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic while making a significant impact on the health and well-being of our patients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner at our clinic, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to develop comprehensive and patient-specific diagnosis and treatment plans under the supervision of our esteemed physicians.
• Providing specialty-specific medical care that incorporates your training and expertise, focusing on preventive measures and promoting positive health outcomes.
• Engaging actively with your healthcare colleagues and establishing collaborative relationships for seamless consultations and referrals as needed.
• Addressing a spectrum of healthcare issues ranging from acute illnesses to chronic diseases, with a patient-centered approach that emphasizes evidence-based practices.
• Educating patients and their families about preventive healthcare practices, managing medical conditions, and ensuring they have a clear understanding of prescribed treatments and medications.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will cater predominantly to a diverse population of elderly patients residing in the Assisted Living Facility. Your interactions will include assessing and managing complex health issues commonly faced by the geriatric population, requiring a keen understanding of age-related health challenges, chronic disease management, and the intricacies of maintaining overall wellness among older adults.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess:

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited university.
• Current licensure or eligibility to practice as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) within the state of Maryland.
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from a recognized certifying body.
• Note: We are exclusively seeking Family Nurse Practitioners; those with Acute Care certifications will not qualify for this role.

Preferred Experience

While all qualified applicants are encouraged to apply, candidates with experience in geriatric care, internal medicine, or similar settings will be preferred. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and a history of working in team-oriented environments will be advantageous in this role.

Compensation and Benefits
