Work Environment

This role is onsite at our modern clinic, specifically situated within a school facility that promotes a community-centered approach to health. The work hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life commitment. Key Responsibilities

• Educate patients on cardiology procedures and conditions, providing crucial information before and after surgeries to alleviate concerns and promote understanding.
• Coordinate patient care continuity, ensuring that each individual meets readiness standards for procedures and follows through with recovery protocols.
• Administer and interpret various stress tests including regular, echo, and nuclear tests, contributing to accurate diagnostics and timely interventions.
• Assist patients in managing their International Normalized Ratio (INR), guiding them on proper medication protocols and lifestyle adjustments.
• Oversee clinical workflows within the cardiology department, collaborating with team members to streamline processes and improve patient care efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clinic serves a diverse patient population ranging from children to older adults, all presenting unique heart health challenges. The Nurse Practitioner will work closely with patients dealing with various cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, arrhythmias, and coronary artery disease. Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Maryland.
