Work Environment

Our Surgical Center offers an onsite, fast-paced environment where teamwork and patient care are prioritized. Our work hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured work schedule that promotes work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations, take detailed patient histories, and evaluate lab results to accurately diagnose and treat various patient conditions and illnesses.

• Develop and implement effective treatment plans, including prescribing medications, while collaborating under the supervision of licensed physicians.

• Assist in surgical procedures and provide preoperative and postoperative care, working closely with surgeons and nursing staff.

• Provide patients with clear information regarding their diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive care strategies to support informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient records using our Electronic Health Record (EHR) system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize their health outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a PA at Metro Solutions Medical Center, you will work primarily with patients undergoing surgical procedures as well as those in need of post-operative care. Our diverse patient population includes individuals across various age groups and demographics, allowing you to enhance your clinical expertise while providing compassionate care. Your role directly contributes to improving patient recovery experiences and helping individuals regain mobility and strength.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required; Candidates should possess a Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.

• An active Physician Assistant license in the state of Maryland is mandatory.

• Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required.

• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are essential for this role.

Preferred Experience

• While prior experience in a similar clinical setting is preferred, we welcome applications from new graduates eager to begin their professional journey in healthcare.

• A minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical practice experience is preferred, particularly in surgical settings.

Compensation and Benefits
