Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical care in various surgical settings, including outpatient clinic visits, inpatient rounds, and operating room assistance.
• Conduct thorough assessments of patients, including obtaining medical histories, performing physical examinations, and determining appropriate treatment plans.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures by performing minor surgical tasks and supporting the lead surgeon in executing various operations, including laparoscopy and robotic-assisted surgeries.
• Manage patient care pre- and post-operatively by providing education, support, and follow-up instructions to ensure effective recovery.
• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary health team to refine clinical procedures and improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

• Experience in operating room environments, particularly as a first assist for laparoscopic and robotic surgeries.
