The West Med Medical Care Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our progressive cardiology practice located in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Work Environment

The NP will work onsite in a friendly and supportive atmosphere from Monday to Friday, with consistent hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As part of a well-organized practice, you will have the opportunity to work with patients from diverse backgrounds, contributing to their cardiovascular health through direct patient care and evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and health assessments for 16-20 cardiology patients daily.
• Perform follow-up appointments, utilizing established protocols to monitor patient progress.
• Administer and interpret stress tests, determining patient responses and adjustments needed in treatment plans.
• Manage chronic disease conditions such as hypertension and heart failure, tailoring individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes and ensure comprehensive treatment.
• Educate patients on self-management strategies and lifestyle modifications to improve overall cardiovascular health.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The NP will be working primarily with adult patients who present with various cardiovascular conditions, including but not limited to coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and heart failure. Understanding the unique needs and health challenges faced by this demographic is essential for providing effective care and enhancing the patient experience.

Qualifications

• A Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with valid board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP).
• An active DEA license is required to prescribe medications.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner, with a strong preference for those with experience in cardiology or similar outpatient settings.
• Proficiency in performing diagnostic tests and interpreting data relevant to cardiovascular care.

Compensation and Benefits
