Work Environment

This position is based on-site at our Gaithersburg hospital location. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing you a balanced work-life experience. You will be working alongside a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals, including cardiologists, nurses, and support staff, all dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Nurse Practitioner, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of 16-20 cardiology patients daily.
• Perform follow-up appointments and detailed patient assessments to monitor progress and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Perform non-invasive procedures such as running Stress Tests and interpreting the results to guide treatment decisions.
• Manage chronic disease conditions, working closely with patients to develop personalized care plans that promote health and prevent complications.
• Educate patients on cardiovascular health, focusing on lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and disease prevention strategies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on individuals suffering from various heart-related conditions, including but not limited to coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, and hypertension. You will engage with a diverse patient population, emphasizing tailored approaches to care that address the unique needs and challenges of each patient.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need:

• A Master’s degree in Nursing (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – APRN).
• Board Certification in either Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP).
• A current DEA license to prescribe medications.
• At least two years of relevant experience working as a Nurse Practitioner, particularly in cardiology or a related field.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference may be given to candidates who have experience in cardiology settings or those who have utilized electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient interactions effectively. Familiarity with cardiology-related diagnostic tools and patient management workflows will be advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
