Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and provide treatment for pre-operative and post-operative liver and abdominal transplant patients, addressing both acute and chronic health issues.
• Conduct comprehensive medical histories and physical examinations, assessing normal and abnormal findings to formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Order, perform, and review diagnostic studies as warranted to support clinical decision-making.
• Prescribe medications and manage the medication administration process while adhering to protocols and regulations.
• Coordinate care plans across inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring seamless transitions and effective ongoing management.
• Facilitate patient education and counseling to empower individuals in managing their health and recovery.
• Work with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient throughput and discharge planning, ensuring compliance with hospital policies.
• Participate in on-call duties as required, demonstrating commitment to patient care outside of standard hours.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid Physician Assistant licensure in the state of Maryland.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 160,000 to 200,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
