● About Facility:

o 1 Medical Blvd. Winston-Salem, NC. Located on 7 th floor of the West Ardmore Tower in the Pediatric Clinic. This is a clinic located in the WFB hospital.

● Unit Information:

o Beds: 24 exam rooms

▪ Census? around 3,000 patients per month for RN Navigators

o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years clinic experience. Would prefer candidate who has Peds, GI, and/or Pulmonary experience, but not a firm requirement.

o Will you accept a first-time traveler? No

● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

o This position is in-basket management and phone triage. This is not an in-person, patient-facing position.

o Children and adolescents up to 18 years old. This position will cover the GI and Pulmonary subspecialties

o GI: constipation, reflux, hyperemesis, EOE, IBD, Crohn’s, celiac, blood in stool

o Pulmonary: asthma, bronchiolitis, vents/trachs, cystic fibrosis

● Required License, National Certification, Certs:

o BLS

● Skills required:

o Phone triage for above diagnoses, in-basket management, med refills, requests for paperwork from providers, etc. These are all established patients with this clinic.

● Support within the Department:

o Manager/Supervisor

o MAs to room patients

o 3 other RN Navigators in the same office

● Technology/Equipment:

o EMR: Ambulatory EPIC - preferred

o Unit specific equipment: Vital sign and EKG machine (utilized by direct patient care members), laptop, Microsoft Teams

● Floating: If yes, where?

o None

● Orientation (facility and unit) :

o NEO

o Will be partnered closely with other RN Navigators throughout contract to orient
