The Role: SusieCakes is seeking an exceptionally organized, detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to support local and regional marketing efforts across social, digital, PR, events, and community partnerships. This remote role partners closely with the Head of Brand Marketing, local bakeries, vendors, and agencies to manage multiple workstreams and ensure marketing initiatives are executed accurately, on time, and in alignment with the SusieCakes brand.


The position requires strong organization, precision, initiative, and follow-through, with occasional travel to support events, bakery openings, and other key marketing initiatives. Candidates must be based in the Dallas, Austin, or Nashville metropolitan areas.


What You'll Do :


Social Media & Community Engagement

• Manage the social media content calendar, aligning content with brand promotions, product launches, seasonal moments, and emerging trends.

• Partner with creators, photographers, interns, and influencers to develop engaging, on-brand content from concept through execution.

• Schedule and publish Instagram and TikTok content, including writing compelling, on-brand copy.

• Manage community engagement across comments, DMs, tagged posts, and brand mentions.

• Identify, secure permissions for, and organize user-generated content for amplification and future use.

• Monitor social trends, platform updates, and best practices, recommending opportunities to improve performance and engagement.

Marketing Operations & Coordination

• Coordinate logistics for influencer partnerships, PR requests, donations, events, and marketing activations.

• Manage product orders and fulfillment details, including pickup and delivery coordination with internal and external partners.

• Develop PR briefs that clearly communicate campaign objectives and priorities to agency partners.

• Review and approve intern timesheets and maintain accurate documentation.

Digital Marketing & Content Support

• Build and maintain website product pages and promotional content.

• Coordinate in-bakery marketing updates across locations.

• Review and approve SMS campaigns for accuracy, brand alignment, and engagement.

• Develop content supporting brand storytelling, AI-driven search visibility, Pinterest, and other digital initiatives.

Qualifications & Attributes

• 1-3 years of experience in marketing, social media, brand coordination, or a related field.

• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Strong project management and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, remote work environment.

• Proactive self-starter who takes ownership and approaches new challenges with initiative and resourcefulness.

• Excellent written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across channels and audiences.

• Experience managing Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and other social media platforms using current best practices.

• Comfortable interacting with customers across social media and online communities while maintaining a consistent brand voice.

• Experience with consumer, hospitality, retail, food & beverage, or lifestyle brands is preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required; Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of a SusieCakes bakery location (approximately 30 miles) to support occasional on-site needs, quick-turn projects, and in-person marketing activations.

• Ability to travel to other SusieCakes bakeries for meetings, events, bakery openings, and marketing activations. Travel is approximately 20% of the role and may include overnight stays of 1-3 nights depending on business needs.

• Must have a reliable source of transportation to support required travel to bakeries, events, and marketing activations.

• Ability to sit or remain at a computer workstation for extended periods while performing administrative tasks.

• Ability to communicate effectively via phone, email, messaging, and video conferencing.

• Ability to stand or walk for short periods during events or on-site visits.

• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally (e.g., marketing materials, event supplies).

Language Skills

• Must be able to speak, read, and write English for safety purposes.
