Job Summary

The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the healthcare framework, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and relevant regulatory standards. This role emphasizes ethical practice as outlined by the ANA code of ethics. The RN ensures safety in their practice, incorporates evidence-based principles, and acknowledges their own knowledge and experience levels. They take responsibility for enhancing their own and their team's understanding by engaging with available resources and programs. Additionally, the RN is tasked with reporting safety concerns, such as hazardous conditions and medical errors, and must be knowledgeable about the patient demographics they serve. They supervise and guide the delegation of tasks among team members and collaborate with other healthcare providers. The RN consistently prioritizes and evaluates interventions aimed at measurable improvements, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet individual patient needs.

Position Overview

Our organization is in search of a committed Registered Nurse for Monmouth Medical Center.

The RN will provide nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, while also adhering to ethical guidelines as defined by the ANA code of ethics.

Qualifications

Required:

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma
• 1-2 years of experience in the specialty area
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Proficient in computer applications

Certifications and Licenses:

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey
• Must hold a valid New Jersey State Driver’s License

Preferred:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Clinical experience from an NLN accredited institution
• Eligibility for Screening Certification
• National Certification

Scheduling Requirements

• Night Shift, 36 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure safety in practice while adhering to evidence-based principles, recognizing personal knowledge and experience levels, and fostering growth within the patient care team through effective communication and resource utilization.
• Report any identified safety issues, including hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct task delegation among team members while collaborating with other healthcare providers.
• Set and evaluate priorities consistently through appropriate interventions aimed at measurable outcomes for improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process as both an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager to integrate all aspects of care and customize care plans to meet specific patient needs.
