Position Title: Medical Billing Specialist

Duration: 6 Months (Possible extension)

Location: Livermore, California, 94550

Work Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

About the Role:

We are seeking a Customer Accounts Specialist for our Revenue Cycle Management team, located onsite in Livermore, CA.

This full-time position requires handling billing inquiries and managing outstanding patient balances. The role demands a strong understanding of medical billing, insurance, and the ability to interpret Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with up to 50 patients daily via phone and email in a professional manner.
• Address inquiries related to patient statements, billing, and general questions.
• Reconcile patient accounts to ensure accuracy of statements.
• Interpret and explain billing statements and methodologies.
• Maintain accurate records of collection activities.
• Process requests, adjustments, and refunds efficiently.
• Keep management informed of any issues or concerns.
• Assist in monthly closing processes.
• Process credit card payments and monitor hardship applications.
• Handle correspondence and perform other related duties as assigned.
• Adhere to all HIPAA guidelines

Education Qualification:-

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of medical billing and insurance.
• Experience in customer service within a healthcare setting.
• Ability to interpret EOBs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on exceptional customer service.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work independently and in a team.
• Attention to detail and adherence to quality and productivity standards

Pay Range: $20 to $24 an hour
