Registered Nurse

Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in acute care required License: Valid nursing license in the state of practice Certifications: BLS (AHA) required, NIHSS preferred Must-Have: Comfortable with flexible staffing ratios Experience in environments with variable nurse-to-patient ratios Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting. This position includes working three 12-hour day shifts. The nurse will care for adult and geriatric patients with various medical diagnoses. Daily census averages around 16 patients. The unit consists of 19 staffed beds. Patient-to-nurse ratios may vary from 1:5 to 1:6 based on staffing needs. The role requires knowledge of telemetry, including monitoring and interpreting cardiac rhythms. Nurses may be required to float to other sister units as needed. Basic Life Support certification is mandatory, with NIHSS preferred. This is a great opportunity for experienced nurses and first-time travelers who meet experience requirements.
