This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm (no lunch break) or 8 am to 5:30 pm (with a 30-minute lunch break).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse for Infusion Services provides comprehensive nursing care to infusion patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The role includes facilitating patient referrals, overseeing appointment scheduling, and administering specialty IV fluids following physician orders.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates and oversees infusion patient referrals and coordinates testing and treatment plans.
• Communicates results and reports patient conditions to referring providers while documenting information accurately.
• Supervises clinic staff to optimize daily infusion patient care flow.
• Initiates patient care meetings with the healthcare team to review care plans.
• Administers specialty IV fluids and maintains IV access devices per protocols.
• Educates patients and families about post-discharge care programs.
• Ensures a safe and therapeutic environment is maintained.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska or other U.S. state required.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in immunotherapy/chemotherapy specialty medications.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Flu vaccination required.
