Development Operations Manager

YWCA Madison is seeking an experienced Development Operations Manager to lead the operations, systems, and processes that power the organization's fundraising and donor engagement efforts. Reporting directly to the Chief Development Officer, this role is responsible for managing the donor relation system, gift processing workflows, donor data integrity, reporting, and the operational infrastructure that supports individual giving, major gifts, and stewardship strategies.

The Development Operations Manager will serve as the operational leader, working both independently and in close partnership with Finance, Grants and Compliance, Marketing and Communications, and organizational leadership to ensure fundraising systems run smoothly, data accuracy, and donor relationships are well supported.

Responsibilities include maintaining accurate donor records and CRM management; running gift and donor reports; drafting and refreshing acknowledgment templates; administering donor recognition and giving circle processes; developing and executing cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies; leading targeted donor outreach including lapsed donor re-engagement; conducting prospect research and preparing donor profiles and briefing materials; supporting donor portfolio management and major gift prospects; and partnering with Finance on gift processing, reconciliation, and reporting.

Candidates should have 5+ years of progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, donor relations, major gifts, stewardship, or a related field. Strong organizational and project management skills, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to YWCA Madison's mission are essential.

How do you know if you'll be a great addition to our organization?

You have:

• 5+ years of progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising, development, donor relations, major gifts, stewardship, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining donor or funder relationships, managing donor portfolios, fundraising projects, or individual giving strategies.
• Experience with a CRM or donor management system and partnering with Finance on gift processing and reconciliation.
• Strong organizational and project management skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership, and collaborate across an organization.
• Major gift fundraising, moves management, donor prospect research, and qualification experience preferred.
• Experience with DonorPerfect or another nonprofit CRM, donor segmentation, targeted fundraising, or campaign work preferred.
• Proficiency in Google Suite preferred.

Salary range: $58,000 to $75,000 annually; commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time position based at YWCA Madison's Empowerment Center in greater Madison, Wisconsin.
