Payroll Specialist ** Certified Payroll experience required**
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end, in-house payroll for employees across multiple states(GA, FL, SC, NC, AL, and TX)
- Ensure accurate payroll calculations including earnings, deductions, garnishments, taxes, and adjustments
- Manage and reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
- Handle multi-state payroll tax compliance, filings, and payroll tax research
- Partner with HR and Accounting to ensure payroll accuracy and compliance
- Support month-end and year-end payroll processes including W-2 preparation and audits
- Maintain payroll records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive employee information
- Assist with process improvements and payroll best practices
- 3+ years of payroll processing and payroll accounting experience
- Strong multi-state payroll experience required
- CPP a plus
- ADP or Paylocity experience a plus
- Understanding of payroll reconciliations, journal entries, and payroll accounting processes
