Urology Locum Opportunity - Pennsylvania


A healthcare organization is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Urologist for ongoing 24-hour call coverage. This hospital-based opportunity offers a broad scope of adult urology cases, access to robotic surgery, and support from an established clinical team.

Compensation

• Regular: $3,250 per 24 hours

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide 24-Hour Urology Call Coverage
• Manage Emergency Urologic Consults and Admissions
• Perform Inpatient and Operative Urologic Procedures as Needed
• Collaborate With Advanced Practice Providers and Hospital Staff
• Supervise APPs When Applicable

Patient Population

• Primarily Adult Patients (18+)
• Occasional Pediatric Emergency Torsion Cases May Present During Call Coverage

Support Staff

• Medical Assistants
• Registered Nurse
• Clinical Support Staff
• Advanced Practice Providers

Operating Room & Equipment

• Multiple Operating Rooms Available
• Robotic Surgery Platform Available
• Cystoscopy Equipment and Towers Available
• Office-Based Injection Capabilities

Procedures & Skills


Candidates Should Be Comfortable Performing Most General Urology Procedures, Including:

• Cystoscopy
• Ureteroscopy
• Prostate Procedures
• Lithotripsy
• Orchiopexy
• Vasectomy

Additional Experience With Robotic Surgery Is Welcomed but Not Required.

Volume

• Typical Daily Patient Volume Ranges From 24-28 Patients
• Combination of Office Visits, Cystoscopy, and Stent-Related Procedures
• Callback Volume Averages 2-6 Hours Per Day

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Urology
• Active Pennsylvania License Preferred for Expedited Start
• Active DEA Required
• Minimum of 1 Year of Experience Preferred
• New Graduates Will Be Considered
• At Least 2 Years of Clinical Experience in Urology - Required

Credentialing

• Approximate Credentialing Timeframe: 90 Days
• Temporary Privileges Available for Qualified Providers With a Clean File
