Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service & Order Processing Specialist to join a collaborative and supportive team environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, enjoys helping others, and can effectively manage multiple tasks.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the potential for long-term growth and excellent benefits upon direct hire.
Key Responsibilities- Handle approximately 30 inbound calls and 40–50 outbound calls daily (primarily related to order processing)
- Assist with occasional walk-in customers and perform basic DME order entry
- Navigate multiple EMR systems to obtain and verify required documentation
- Accurately enter and review patient and order information, including authorizations and expiration dates
- Communicate regularly with Customer Service and Management regarding insurance trends or issues
- Verify insurance carriers in the system and request additions as needed
- Contact patients when documentation does not meet payer guidelines and provide updates or alternative solutions
- Respond to patient calls and emails in a timely manner
- Document all interactions according to established procedures
- Process, verify, and submit documentation and orders accurately
- Meet quality assurance standards and key performance metrics
- Assist with resolving customer concerns and providing effective solutions
- Utilize internal tools such as authorization guidelines, insurance resources, fee schedules, NPI, PECOS, and training materials
- Strong customer service experience
- Excellent time management and organizational skills

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
