Rehabilitation Therapy - Physical Therapist

PT in Rushville, Illinois. Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5. Term: 20-week assignment with the potential for extension. Pay Rate: $59 - $63/hr.

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a PT for a temporary assignment in Rushville, Illinois. These positions are 20-week contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a PT:

Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician Administer treatments and physical agents per the individualized Plan of Care to restore function Assist patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities Coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to supportive physical therapy staff Ensure patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis Participate in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, quality, and fire safety programs Direct and supervise Physical Therapy support staff Observe and evaluate treatment effects and recommend changes to physician as needed Perform appropriate assessments on all patients, including pediatric, adolescent, geriatric, and general patient population Formulate teaching plans based upon identified learning needs and evaluate effectiveness of learning, including family as appropriate Demonstrate knowledge and competency of physical therapy modalities Treat patients and their families with respect and dignity Identify and address psychosocial, cultural, ethnic, and religious/spiritual needs of patients and family Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly Maintain department cleanliness and safety Interact professionally with patients and families and involve them in the formation of the plan of care Communicate appropriately and clearly with physicians, staff, and administrative team Coordinate and direct patient care to ensure patient needs are met and hospital policy is followed Maintain records pertinent to personnel and operation of the department Demonstrate ability to be flexible, organized, and function under stressful situations Maintain a good working relationship within the department and with other departments Ensure documentation meets current standards and policies Maintain current Illinois State Physical Therapy Licensure Maintain current BCLS (CPR) certification
