What You'll Do

• Provide direct patient care to transplant and Med-Surg/Telemetry patients
• Manage patient assessments, interventions, and documentation in Meditech Expanse EMS
• Perform IV initiations and peripheral blood draws
• Support cardiac monitoring, including reading EKG strips and supporting cardiac drips (no titration)
• Collaborate with charge nurses, resource nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
• Support patient transfer and discharge procedures
• Float as needed within scope of practice to other units

What You Need

• Valid Louisiana RN license or compact license (or willing to obtain)
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of relevant acute care experience (2 years for first-time travelers)
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam
• Strong clinical skills in Med-Surg/Telemetry, including wound care, IV therapy, and patient assessment
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
