EVS Technician - 40 hour, Eve Shift

Exemption Status: Non-Exempt Hiring Range: $15.00 - $22.22 Schedule Details: Holidays - Every Other Holiday, Monday through Friday; Weekends - Every Other Weekend Scheduled Hours: 40 hours, 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm Shift: Evening Shift, 8 hours (United States of America) Hours: 40 Cost Center: 26000 – 5300 Housekeeping Signing bonus may be available; eligibility will be confirmed by the Recruitment Team during the interview process. Major Responsibilities Environmental Cleaning and Maintenance Load service cart with appropriate materials and supplies for the assigned area. Operate and clean various types of cleaning equipment (mechanical and electrical). Clean operating suites using germicidal cleaning solutions and arrange furniture and equipment. Clean patient rooms, observing isolation techniques and ensuring a safe, clean environment. Clean assigned areas including walls, doors, ceilings, fixtures, and windows. Climb ladders to reach high areas for cleaning, using safety precautions. Collect and/or distribute soiled or clean linen, maintaining linen closet cleanliness. Dust mop, wet mop floors, and vacuum carpets. Maintain floors and baseboards using appropriate cleaning methods. Maintain carpets through regular vacuuming. Collect waste and/or hazardous waste, following infection control policies. Perform any duty assigned by a supervisor to ensure a safe, comfortable, and sanitary environment. Demonstrate use of Quality Improvement in daily operations. Comply with all health and safety regulations and requirements. Position Qualifications License/Certification/Education —Required: None specified. Preferred: High School Graduate or G.E.D. Experience/Skills —Required: None. Preferred: Previous cleaning experience in a healthcare environment. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions This position involves frequent standing, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and performing repetitive movements. It may require climbing and working at heights. The role includes exposure to temperature extremes and requires precise motor skills, vision, and hearing. Lifting, carrying, pulling, and pushing weights up to 100 lbs may be required occasionally to frequently.
