Behavioral Health Technician ABA JobID: 1399 Location: Schnecksville, PA Date Posted: 12/12/2024 Position Definition The Behavioral Health Technician ABA will provide one-to-one behavioral interventions with clients and serve as a model for appropriate and pro-social behaviors. Relationship The Behavioral Health Technician ABA shall be directly responsible to the Supervisor of Mental Health Services. Qualifications High School Diploma, or equivalent, and 40 hours of training in content covered by Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT) training, as verified by a BCBA. Completion of all ongoing training, policy review, and supervisory requirements. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work positively in a strength-based intervention model. Ability to adhere to mandated timelines and provide services to clients and families. Due to itinerant nature of position, must have a valid driver's license. Ability to drive. Ability to physically restrain student in accordance with CLIU protocols. Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Good manual dexterity. Physical Ability to conduct a safety restraint protocol which requires: Normal degree of flexibility Ability to stand, walk, run, and shuffle for at least several minutes Ability to kneel on one and two knees and then stand up Ability to bend the trunk at 45 degrees and twist to either side Ability to grasp firmly and raise hands above the head Ability to learn and correctly demonstrate multi-step physical skills Authority The Behavioral Health Technician ABA will have the authority to perform all functions listed below in accordance with established policies and procedures. Functions/Duties/Responsibilities Essential Assists client with daily living skills. Implements behavior management programs and interventions. Empowers the parents/guardians in their roles as primary caretakers. Serves as a positive role model. Completes appropriate paperwork and documentation, as required. Works with team members in the department, enforcement, and evaluation of treatment plans. Secondary Travels to and from clients’ homes, a requirement to perform duties. Works with other staff supporting their work with clients. Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor of Behavioral Health Services. #J-18808-Ljbffr
