Job Details

The Registered Nurse is an experienced clinician who provides professional nursing care to a diverse and often complex patient population. Responsibilities include patient assessment, treatment implementation, medication administration, patient education, documentation, and collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.

This nurse serves as a patient advocate while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compassionate care. The role also provides opportunities for leadership through precepting, charge nurse responsibilities, and participation in unit-based initiatives.

• Approximately 48 treatment beds
• Average daily census exceeding 200 patients

Qualifications
Required Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

Required Experience

• Minimum one year of RN experience in a healthcare setting
• Prior Emergency Department experience strongly required
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity ED environment highly preferred

Required Licensure & Certifications

• Active RN license (or Compact License eligible for state licensure)
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• PALS (within 4 months of hire if not already obtained)
• NIH Stroke Certification (within 4 months of hire)
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Certification (within 4 months of hire)

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN strongly preferred
• Magnet facility experience preferred
• TNCC
• ENPC
• Additional emergency nursing certifications
