The role provides significant responsibility across pleadings, motion practice, court appearances, and efficient matter resolution. Responsibilities: Handle civil litigation matters in California courts, including foreclosure-related litigation and creditor-related disputes. Draft, review, and revise pleadings, motions, declarations, correspondence, and other litigation documents. Monitor case progress, evaluate legal and procedural issues, and develop practical strategies for resolution. Appear in court, attend hearings, and communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel. Assist with case strategy and collaborate with attorneys and staff to advance matters efficiently. Manage case activity, deadlines, filings, and procedural requirements throughout the litigation lifecycle. Maintain professional, clear, and timely communication through verbal, written, and electronic correspondence. Must-Have Skills: Active membership in good standing with the California Bar. Experience handling civil litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, court appearances, and case analysis. Practical knowledge of California court procedures, local rules, filing requirements, and hearing practice. Strong legal research, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with sound professional judgment and integrity. J.D. from an accredited law school and a bachelor's degree. Proficiency with legal technology, case management systems, Microsoft Office, and general office tools. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with creditors' rights, foreclosure, real estate litigation, or financial services litigation. Knowledge of foreclosure procedures and related real estate disputes. Experience managing multiple litigation matters and competing deadlines. Familiarity with California-specific legal technology and electronic filing systems.
