Engineering Technician

Specific Job Duties Write technical work instructions for manufacturing Participate in release of the new products to manufacturing Build manufacturing fixtures and jigs Resolve problems and make routine recommendations Assist engineers in trouble shooting and modifications Operate manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment Work independently under general supervision Review production data to identify potential areas of non conformance Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications, follow schedules, shop instructions, SOPs and any other manufacturing documentation Fit, align, and adjust machines or assemblies to meet required tolerances and product operating requirements Identify deviations that could impact productivity and escalate issues appropriately Work safely and efficiently while following all PPE requirements and participating in safety programs that maintain a clean and safe work environment. (PPE may include uniform shirts, safety boots, hairnets/headcovers/face shields, gloves, etc.) May work in a cleanroom environment some of the time Maintain logs and required documentation using required computer systems Demonstrate troubleshooting, communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills Position Requirements Qualifications and Skills Ability to operate manufacturing, test, development, or diagnostic equipment and adhere to safety policies Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment Strong verbal and written communication skills CAD familiarity and view configuration management Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills Capacity to function effectively in a cross‑disciplinary environment Intermediate MS Office, Outlook, Word and Excel skills Visual acuity and manual dexterity Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, climb stair ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs Strong manual dexterity and hand‑eye coordination Basic computer skills, working knowledge of an ERP system (Oracle Cloud a plus), MS Office suite Behavioral Attributes Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to follow established procedures and safety guidelines Follow SOP, policies and procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent teamwork and problem‑solving skills Eagerness to learn and adapt to new techniques Work Environment Manufacturing setting with some exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) ISO9001 standards Experience, Education, Certifications 2-4+ years engineering or related work experience A.A. Degree or equivalent work experience, or any combination of education and experience Previous experience applying engineering technology theories For candidates based in California The pay range for this position is $24.38 to $41.44 per hour , nonexempt. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job‑related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure, and relevant education or training.
