Experienced Commercial Architectural Millwork Estimator

About the Position

Client is seeking an experienced Commercial Architectural Millwork Estimator to join their team. The company is well known for their high-quality millwork and has been in business for 34 years. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in estimating high end custom architectural millwork for commercial projects and is detail-oriented, organized and collaborative.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for commercial architectural millwork projects.

• Utilize Bluebeam and Excel estimating software to prepare detailed cost proposals.

• Collaborate with project managers, designers, and clients to understand project scope and requirements.

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents.

• Perform quantity takeoffs and scope descriptions, including material/labor costs.

• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.

• Identify scope gaps, alternates, and value-engineering opportunities.

• Support bid reviews, scope clarifications and post-bid negotiations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in estimating commercial architectural millwork projects.

• Strong knowledge of millwork material, construction methods and industry standards.

• Proficiency with estimating and takeoff software.

• Ability to read and interpret complex architectural and shop drawings.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Experience with custom, high end commercial millwork projects.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong time-management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously.
