Job Description: The Alumni Engagement Officer is an exciting new role and a unique opportunity to help shape the future of alumni engagement at Arcadia University. As a founding member of a new office focused on Strategic Partnerships and Alumni Engagement, this individual will play an important role in developing the vision, strategies, and programs that build meaningful, lifelong relationships between Arcadia and its global community of alumni. Reporting to the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Alumni Engagement, the Alumni Engagement Officer will have the opportunity to strengthen existing relationships while imagining and developing new and innovative ways for alumni to connect with one another, with current students, and with the University. The Officer will help build programs and experiences that inspire alumni affinity and volunteer leadership along with opportunities for alumni to share their expertise, networks, and experiences through mentoring, networking, internships, and career development initiatives. Working collaboratively with colleagues across campus and academic departments, the Officer develops communications and engagement strategies that strengthen alumni participation across diverse populations and geographic regions. The position also utilizes CRM systems and engagement data to assess program effectiveness, identify trends, and implement continuous improvements that advance alumni engagement. This is an ideal opportunity for a creative, entrepreneurial, and relationship-focused professional who is energized by building a dynamic, forward-looking alumni engagement program that strengthens relationships, expands opportunities, and connects Arcadia alumni more deeply to the University's future.Location: GlensideEssential Functions:Alumni EngagementDesign and oversee a calendar of alumni events, including regional gatherings, reunions, Alumni Weekend, networking events, webinars, and other relevant opportunities.Develop engagement opportunities for alumni across all life stages and focused geographic regions.Cultivate alumni communities based on professions, shared interests, affinity groups, and geographic locations.Assist with the establishment of annual goals, performance metrics, and assessment measures for alumni engagement initiatives.Identify emerging trends and best practices in alumni engagement and implement innovative approaches.Volunteer LeadershipRecruit, train, and support alumni volunteers and advisory boards.Manage the Alumni Association Advisory Council and its committees.Develop volunteer opportunities that support student mentoring, career development, workforce connections and affinity.Recognize and celebrate alumni contributions through awards and recognition programs.Campus CollaborationPartner closely with the Development team to identify and qualify prospective donors and attend donor events with significant alumni participation.Collaborate with Advising & Experiential Learning to connect alumni with current students through mentoring, internships, career panels, and networking opportunities.Partner with graduate programs to ensure meaningful opportunities for their unique alumni populations.Promote alumni engagement in fostering experiential learning, internships, and professional development initiatives.Partner with University Relations and Development to execute larger alumni engagement events and to develop compelling alumni communications across print, digital, email, and social media platforms.Explore opportunities for collaboration with Campus Life.Data Management and AssessmentUtilize CRM systems to track alumni participation and engagement.Analyze participation trends and develop strategies to increase engagement across diverse alumni populations.Evaluate programs and implement continuous improvements to maximize impact and resource utilization.Ensure data integrity and compliance with University policiesSupervisory Responsibilities:Supervises Student Workers/Volunteers/InternsQualifications:Minimum Requirements:Bachelor 's degree required5+ years of progressively responsible experience in alumni relations, volunteer management, higher education advancement, or related fields.Experience developing and maintaining relationships with alumni, volunteers, donors, campus partners, and other constituents.Demonstrated success creating and managing alumni engagement programs, events, and initiatives.Experience engaging alumni through volunteer leadership, affinity groups, regional programming, or other constituent communities.Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends and travel as needed for alumni programs and events.Preferred QualificationsExperience with CRM systems and Salesforce experience preferred.Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Demonstrated alignment with Arcadia's Lived ValuesExceptional relationship-building and networking abilities necessary.to collaborate effectively with administrators, faculty, staff, students, alumni, volunteers, donors, board members, and other internal and external stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to stay organized and on track, and to manage complexityStrong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing needs, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Exemplary skills in planning, coordinating, and executing quality eventsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively across multiple University departments.Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace applications.Application Instructions:Applications must be submitted online through Arcadia's Human Resources portal to receive full consideration.
