Help shape the next chapter of a growing subscription business.

A leading media company is seeking a hands-on data leader to guide subscriber growth, deepen customer engagement, and influence decisions across an expanding portfolio of paid subscription products.

\n

This is a high-visibility opportunity to lead a team of two Managers, build the frameworks that measure business performance, and partner with senior executives on marketing investment, content strategy, pricing, and retention.

\n

We’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable writing complex SQL, developing a team, and presenting a compelling recommendation to leadership.

\n

What You’ll Do

• Own measurement across the subscriber journey, from acquisition and onboarding to engagement, retention, churn, and win-back.
\n
• Identify what drives conversion, loyalty, and long-term customer value.
\n
• Evaluate marketing campaigns, content engagement, promotional offers, and pricing to recommend where the business should invest.
\n
• Establish consistent metrics and reporting that support a growing subscription portfolio.
\n
• Lead and develop two Managers, setting priorities and ensuring the quality of their work.
\n
• Collaborate with Marketing, Content, Product, Finance, and Data Engineering to turn findings into action.
\n
• Deliver clear, executive-ready recommendations that help shape business strategy.
\n

What You Bring

\n

\n
• Typically 8+ years of relevant experience, including substantial work with paid subscription, streaming, or DTC subscription businesses.
\n
• Advanced SQL skills—you independently write queries and work through complex data.
\n
• Strong understanding of subscriber acquisition, retention, churn, cohort behavior, and lifetime value.
\n
• Experience managing, coaching, and developing team members.
\n
• Proficiency with tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Hex.
\n
• The ability to create structure, establish reliable reporting, and prioritize in a changing environment.
\n
• Strong business judgment, executive communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
\n
