What You'll Do

• Prepare and record journal entries to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts and financial transactions.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate account variances.
• Assist with financial reporting, account analysis, and management reporting.
• Support sales tax, corporate tax, and compliance-related accounting activities.
• Review financial records and documentation to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide supporting schedules and documentation.
• Utilize accounting systems and Excel to organize data and improve reporting accuracy.
• Collaborate with departments throughout the organization to support financial operations and decision-making.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Experience preparing journal entries and financial schedules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

• Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting in a detail-oriented business environment.
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their practical application.
• Strong understanding of debits, credits, and the flow of transactions through the accounting cycle.
• Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other finance-related applications.
• Experience with journal entries, general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Ability to demonstrate reliability, dependability, and a collaborative approach in day-to-day work.
• Service-oriented mindset with strong attention to accuracy and responsiveness.
• Ability to meet pre-employment screening requirements for the position.
